Overview

Under direct supervision assists in performing preventative maintenance and repair of production machinery and equipment.  

Responsibilities

  1. Perform simple preventative maintenance, visual in nature.
  2. Find and fix covered belting and spiral belting problems.
  3. Regularly cleans and lubricates machinery.
  4. Thread steam pipe and replace at the direction of others.
  5. Performs lighting replacement (bulb and fixture) throughout the plants.
  6. Identifies and troubleshoots general mechanical and simple electrical problems.
  7. Light building maintenance such as; wall repair and painting.
  8. Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  9. Follows company safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  10. Regular attendance and punctuality is required due to working with people, items and equipment that are at the facility.
  11. Other duties as assigned by department leadership.

Qualifications

  1. Technical certificate or 1-2 years maintenance experience is required.
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  3. Basic boiler knowledge
  4. Knowledge of basic sink and stool plumbing.
  5. Reading and writing in English is required. Spanish bilingual is a plus.

  1. Refrigerated food manufacturing plant.
  2. The environment may be wet or dry and temperatures may range from 25°F to 110°F.
  3. Occasional lifting, kneeling, and bending with items in excess of 50 lbs is required.
  4. Production demands may require overtime and/or evening or weekend scheduling.
