General Summary

Under moderate supervision, provides analysis, trending and costing details to help calibrate Production and Quality Assurance standards against actual performance, as well as to product cost specifications. Supports operations with results driven data to support needs and direction for maximizing performance and accuracies within the manufacturing operation. Supports continuous improvement initiatives associated with year over year cost reduction.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Identify measures or indicators associated with operational performance, and possible actions needed to improve or correct performance relative to goals, standards and continuous improvement.
  2. Communicates effectively, utilizing data and documentation supporting proficiency challenges as presented to operations management.
  3. Translating or explaining what information has been collected and organized to any level of operations team with clarity to all functions.
  4. Having a clear understanding of Operations Systems (LX) in order to research and report out on issues and possible corrective measures to support positive improvement.
  5. Assisting Operations in supporting short term and long range goals as it relates to analysis and trending of operational activities as they relate to specifications, standards, costing and budgetary requirements/goals.
  6. Capable of working on the production floor level to observe, understand, record and interact with team members, extracting data from operational activities for accurate application to change.
  7. Demonstrates an aptitude for interacting with corporate cost accounting, information technologists, and other operational team members for cross networking and research needs.


Job Specifications

  1. Requires experience and proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP), LX preferred.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Systems, or equivalent in experience is favorable.
  3. Experience in food manufacturing is preferred.
  4. Experience of Microsoft Suite programs and advanced Microsoft Excel skills necessary.
  5. Analytical thinking, attention to detail and dependability required.
  6. English/Spanish bilingual a plus.


Working Conditions

  1. Wet, cold, warm, loud, production environment and office setting. Temperatures may vary from 35º - 110º.
  2. Knowledge and structure of English language including content and composition required.
  3. Speech recognition and clarity required.
  4. Alternate shift work as needed.
  5. Required to stand, walk regularly.
  6. Required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
