    Overview

    General Summary

    A Manager / Supervisor of SCT Yard hostlers, Regional Drivers, and plant transfers.

    Responsibilities

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Manages Hostlers and Regional Drivers’ schedules and assignments.
    2. Supervises production transfers from plant to plant.
    3. Updates status of arrival and departure times for drivers.
    4. Assigns Regional drivers to SCT loads.
    5. Assigns trailers for SCT loads.
    6. Assists with Reser’s Production Warehouse needs.
    7. Maximizes tractor utilization, effectiveness and cost efficiency.
    8. Directly supervises 15-20 Holsters / Regional Drivers.

     

    Qualifications

    Job Specifications

    1. 3 years’ experience managing Drivers.
    2. Effective problem solver.
    3. Transportation, logistic, warehouse or driver management experience required.
    4. Food industries experience a plus.
    5. Ability to multi-task and handle constant interruptions.
    6. Proficient with Excel and Word.
    7. Experience with Mercury Gate TMS and AS400 a plus.
    8. Must be available to answer calls on evenings and weekends when the need arises.
    9. High school diploma required.

     

     

    Working Conditions

    1. Office / truck shop environment
    2. Ability to work independently
    3. Position requires minimal travel
