    Under moderate supervision, coordinates and oversees a variety of human resource functions.


    1. Ensures facilities compliance with company policies, procedures and practices as well as all Federal and State employment laws.
    2. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
    3. Execute all programs according to HR Manager direction, roll out new programs and manage ongoing maintenance of existing programs.
    4. Provides guidance, service, solutions and training to management and all levels of employees.
    5. Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
    6. Lead and follow-through on employee relations issues; perform investigations and advise management personnel on the fair and consistent handling of situations requiring discipline
    7. Administers disciplinary actions and employee terminations as needed.
    8. Participates in recruitment process for including selection, interviews scheduling, offer letters and onboarding process.
    9. Be available to assist the recruiting department as needed for interviews and the logistics around scheduling and escorting applicants, job fairs and other recruiting activities and events.
    10. Assist HR Manager with all employment legal claims, develop documentation, prepare timeline and response for Corporate office.
    11. Significant strategic and tactical interaction with senior operational or general management executives.
    12. Manages and administers FMLA, ADA and LOA policies as necessary.
    13. Manage the Worker’s Compensation process and administration, return to work, light duty, AMR, drug testing and claims closure.
    14. Completes annual OSHA 300 in an accurate and timely manner.
    15. Plans and directs Benefits administration and customer service for Wellness programs, annual open enrollment, FSA, and 401K.
    16. Conduct training for assigned facility including SQF/Audit required training, tracking and continued maintenance of training programs.
    17. Assist HR Manager in any issues related to temporary staffing.
    18. Attend and contribute as necessary to weekly production management meetings.
    19. Responsible for unemployment process, hearings and appeals.
    20. Provide exemplary employee customer service relating to address changes, verification of employment, tax forms, benefit questions, LOA, etc.
    21. Work with managers to ensure that time is entered and corrected in Kronos accurately and timely.
    22. Assure timely and accurate HR reporting for plant management.
    23. Creates and maintains employee files.
    24. Coordinate employee appreciation events for assigned facility.
    25. Keep posted office hours.


    1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
    2. PHR preferred.
    3. 3-5 years generalist experience in fast paced human resources department.
    4. Must demonstrate knowledge in all federal, state and local employment laws and procedures.
    5. Excellent PC skills with HRIS experience is a must.
    6. Experience in high growth, small or mid size manufacturing company preferred.
    7. Excellent written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills.
    8. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
